BARNSLEY Hospice’s Limes Therapy Centre is holding an open evening on Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm.
The centre has recently undergone a full refurbishment following a Department of Health grant which transformed the previous day centre into a bright and airy seating area and conservatory dining room, opening up into a new garden.
Patient Services manager Diana Gibson said: “We want to dispel the thought that a hospice is a depressing place. Barnsley Hospice has a very happy and friendly atmosphere and many of our inpatients do return home.
“We have re-launched and extended our services to include two drop in days plus support and therapy days.
“We are also looking to develop a bereavement support group.”
