The Yorkshire Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group is inviting horse owners to Stoney Brigg Farm, Tickhill, on Thursday evening to hear how to enhance their pasture for horses and wildlife.
The Horse Pasture Management event will be an opportunity for owners to hear how they can help paddocks recover from the rigours of winter so that they can provide nutritious and safe grazing and a habitat for wildlife.
Hosted by farmer David Brookfield, it will include practical presentations as well as a walk around the fields to see at first hand how weed treatment, field operations and restoration techniques can make a positive impact.
Anyone interested should call the Yorkshire FWAG office on 01845 527850 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost is £8.
Regional director Chloe Palmer said: “A small amount of time and money invested in paddock management can reduce feed bills and help your horses to be healthier and happier.”
