Hoping to make charity funds grow
WHEN it comes to facial hair, Johnny Depp is top of the 'taches, according to Sheffield men.
The actor was voted best moustache grower of all time in a survey carried out by the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign for its TacheBack challenge.
The charity is calling on South Yorkshire men to follow their hairy hero and get growing for TacheBack - a fundraiser which involves men growing moustaches throughout September.
Eighteen per cent of Sheffield men voted the star as their favourite moustached man in a survey of more than 1,000 people, which was carried out by Market Researchers, One Poll.
Depp pipped an interesting mix of competitors to the post, including the Chuckle Brothers, The Simpsons' Ned Flanders and Dick Van Dyke.
The Everyman Campaign is hoping that these iconic moustache growers will inspire males in Sheffield to get growing for TacheBack, and raise vital cash for research into prostate and testicular cancer, diseases which affect around 37,000 men every year in the UK.
