Homes lose water supply
A MAINS pipe burst left around 3,500 people without water in a South Yorkshire village.
A pipe ruptured in Bolton-upon-Dearne, near Barnsley, in the early hours on Saturday. Yorkshire Water had restored supplies to about 3,000 people by mid-afternoon.
A spokesman said: "A lot of people were affected and we apologise to them for their disruption."
