SOLAR panels installed on council houses around part of South Yorkshire have had a big impact.
Berneslai Homes has fitted 277 solar panels to homes in Barnsley, which have generated 373,592 kwh of electricity.
The amount is equivalent to electrical consumption of 113 homes for a year. The installations have also saved 204 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted.
Stephen Davis, of Berneslai Homes, said: “We’re pleased with the energy being generated by the installations.”
