RUNNERS from a Sheffield firm have shown charity begins at work – and signed up for the Yorkshire Marathon.
Fifteen staff from Plusnet are taking on the run in aid of Sheffield Roundabout, which supports homeless 16 to 21-year-olds in Sheffield, and needs funding to continue its good work.
Plusnet provides home phone and broadband services and is sponsoring the event in York in October.
Jamie Ford, Plusnet CEO, said he had ‘great admiration’ for the staff who had volunteered.
“Plusnet is very proud of its Yorkshire roots and it is great to support such a large event,” he said.
Ben Keegan from Roundabout said: “We’re overwhelmed by Plusnet’s support so far and the marathon is just another example of that.”
