A former residential home is set to be turned into new houses for single and older people.
Hazlehurst Residential Home on Dyche Lane, Jordanthorpe, will be converted into 42 properties if plans are agreed as expected by Sheffield Council next Tuesday afternoon.
The site was also previously a block of flats and will be turned into social housing by applicant BBA if agreed.
Homes will mostly be occupied by people older than 55, with the remainder for single residents aged over 40 years old, and there will be 24 car parking spaces.
Reports by planning officers said the proposal was recommended for approval, subject to a set of conditions.
The report added: “The provision of these units would be a helpful contribution to Sheffield’s housing land supply and they would contribute to the diversity of the housing stock in the area.”
