Step back in time when Sheffield’s Renishaw Hall and Gardens hold a Victorian Day this weekend.
Organisers are promising family fun with stalls, children’s entertainment including story-telling, pewter toy casting, face painting and live Victorian jugglers.
The Hall at Renishaw will also be open especially to visitors and launches a new exhibition charting the ups and downs of this historic estate, as the house and grounds went through mixed fortunes over the years.
This display will include documents from the estate’s archives never previously seen by the public and emotive, back and white photographs from the family’s own collection. The exhibition and Victorian Summer Fair are place on Saturday, August 13, from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
