ANOTHER litter-pick by local residents is taking place in High Green next month - after volunteers at the last event filled 27 bags with rubbish in just one hour.

High Green Action Team is hoping as many volunteers as possible will join in on Sunday, September 16, starting at 2pm and meeting in The Rose Inn car park. Helpers can just turn up on the day as all equipment is provided. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult, and there will be free goodie bags for youngsters and a drink for everyone at the end.

As well as arranging litter picks Action Team projects include a campaign to save the 66 bus to Rotherham, and working with High Green In Bloom and Oaklodge Farm Livery Yard to create a floral feature on the A61 Thompson Hill. Call 0114 284 4444.
