RISING BMX star Dominic Skidmore is right on track for success - both on his bike and back in the classroom.
The 17-year-old, of Kimberworth Park, Rotherham, is preparing for a big year of tournaments around the UK and Europe.
Although too young to compete in the London 2012 Olympics, Dominic is a potential star of the future.
He’s been invited to train with the Great Britain Olympic Development Squad to help develop his fitness and techniques - with a view to joining the GB team for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Dominic is also focusing on his education, thanks to a sports studies course at Dearne Valley College.
He took up BMX biking at 13 and has been racing and training ever since.
Dominic was chosen to join the national set up at 15 and now trains with and is coached by Kelvin Batey.
He trains six days a week at the gym, at a track in Kimberworth and at the English Institute of Sport.
Dominic said: “From a racing point of view I would love to compete in the Rio 2016 Olympics.”
