Hey, Jude for the Minster

Have your say

A NEW curate is heading to Doncaster Minster this summer after completing her theology studies at Cambridge.

Judith Davis is due to be ordained as a deacon by the Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft, in Sheffield Cathedral on Sunday, July 3.

“After spending three busy and exciting years training, I’m very much looking to returning to South Yorkshire to work at Doncaster Minster,” she said.

After serving as a deacon for a year, Jude will be eligible for ordination to the Church of England priesthood.

She has worked for the Church Army at Wilson Carlile College of Evangelism and, while considering her vocation, has been greatly encouraged by the support and wisdom of clergy around the Diocese of Sheffield, particularly at Ecclesall All Saints.
