Applications are being invited for Derbyshire’s new police and crime panel.
Members will work with the county’s elected Police and Crime Commissioner to oversee policing policy and operations.
The panel will review the Commissioner’s police and crime plan and annual report, senior appointments, the level of council tax precept set and investigate any complaints about the Commissioner’s conduct.
Derbyshire County Council’s director of legal services, John McElvaney, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the start with new arrangements for reducing crime and disorder.”
