The police helicopter was sent into action after a child was reported missing in Doncaster.

The National Police Air Service revealed it sent its aircraft from its Yorkshire Operations Centre, in Wakefield to help look for the nine year old after the youngster’s family became concerned on Saturday afternoon.

The NPAS Carr Gate has revealed it was called out at 4.05pm on Saturday to join the search in Adwick.

But the child returned as the helicopter arrived overhead.
