Two people were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries after a train due to pass through Sheffield was derailed by a landslide thought to have been caused by heavy rainfall.

All 17 passengers on board the train from Lincoln to Adwick in Doncaster, which was due to call at stations including Worksop and Sheffield, were evacuated.

The front carriage came off the tracks near Clarborough Tunnel in West Portal, Retford, just after noon on Saturday.
