The British Heart Foundation has opened a furniture and electrical shop in Sheffield city centre.

Professor Paul Evans, from the BHF’s cardiovascular sciences unit at The University of Sheffield, helped to cut the ribbon with the help of Mr Hearty, the BHF mascot.

The shop, in Arundel Gate, sells a range of goods including televisions, washing machines and fridges.

The charity now has more than 150 furniture and electrical shops around the country.
