A SOUTH Yorkshire MP and former Army major has paid tribute to the founders of wounded troops’ charity Help for Heroes.
Barnsley Central Labour MP Dan Jarvis, who served in the Parachute Regiment for 15 years, said: “I would like to congratulate the Help For Heroes charity for almost reaching the £100m mark. It is an enormous sum of money to raise in less than four years.
“Bryn and Emma Parry deserve every praise for forming a charity that has a positive impact on our service personnel. I know from my own experience on the frontline just how much UK forces appreciate all that Help For Heroes is doing for them.”
He added: “The ethos of the charity is what makes it so special.
“They don’t seek to score political points; they simply seek to help those wounded in conflict. They have done a fantastic job in raising awareness of how much help and support soldiers injured in war require upon their return.
