A GROUP of Sheffield factory workers raised hundreds of pounds for charity by bringing colourful characters to the Great Yorkshire Run.

The team of staff from B Braun Medical Ltd donned an array of Disney character costumes, including Snow White and Tinkerbell, to take to the streets in the 10k race.

Their efforts raised £400 for the Sheffield Children’s Hospitals Charity.

Rachel Brunton, marketing assistant at the Thorncliffe Park factory, said: “As we were running for a children’s charity, we thought it would be appropriate for a few of us to dress up as children’s TV characters - so as well as digging out our trainers, we put on our fancy dress as well.”

Employees also took part in Sheffield Half Marathon for the British Heart Foundation earlier this year.

Rachel said: “We’ve definitely caught the running bug! It’s great to be able to get involved with sporting activities with colleagues.”
