The father of tragic seven year old Issabelle Futter has thanked Sheffield’s ice hockey community for a charity match which raised £3,000 for the fund.
Issabelle, from Parson Cross and a schoolgirl in Grenoside, died in December 2012 from cancer and her family have been raising funds since.
Dad Andrew Futter said of the Sheffield Steeldogs’ event: “I think it is fantastic. All these people coming out to support Issabelle’s Appeal.
“We are only a small charity but with people’s generosity, we can move into bigger things.
“We raise funds for children and families going through cancer treatment at Sheffield Childrens Hospital” Andrew said on video at thestar.co.uk
“We give them days out or little treats, whatever they’d like. All the money we raise goes into the appeal. Sheffield Wednesday also donate quite a few things to us.”
Dogs also raised £1,000 each for the Sheffield Juniors and the Steeldogs Junior Development Fund.
