THE sky’s the limit for a South Yorkshire dementia charity after their first balloon race brought in more than £400.
More than 300 balloons were released from Lost Chord’s headquarters in Maltby - with Scunthorpe being the furthest distance travelled so far.
But the closing date for balloons to be returned is on August 19, meaning there is still chance for another to have travelled further.
All money raised through the initiative will go towards the charity’s work providing interactive musical concerts in dementia care homes and day centres across the region and beyond.
Tina Harrison, fundraising manager, said: “We are delighted that our name is literally travelling so far afield.”
