A SHEFFIELD office supplies company put some swing into its fundraising by organising a charity golf day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Universal Office Products signed up to The Star Business Challenge, a campaign set up in partnership with the charity, to ensure its centenary year goes with a fundraising bang.

The event was held at Hillsborough Golf Club in Worrall Road, with 25 teams competing for a host of prizes.

It is the fourth year the event has been organised by the company and staff hope to smash last year’s total this year by raising more than £4,000.

The Business Challenge appeal is asking for 100 or more local firms to get on board and help the charity raise £100,000 in 2011, the year of its 100th anniversary.

Individuals and groups across the region are also being urged to take part. Call Rob Turner on 01246 810 301 to sign up.
