Volunteers in Sheffield are being urged to join a new fundraising campaign aimed at improving the health of people’s hearts.

February is National Heart Month and the British Heart Foundation has joined forces with Diabetes UK and Tesco to raise money.

Volunteers are needed to help with collections at Tesco stores on Ecclesall Road, Ecclesall, Abbeydale Drive, Millhouses, and Montgomery Terrace, Upperthorpe, on Friday and Saturday, February 13 and 14.

Jenna Hall, of the National Charity Partnership, said: “Cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes are serious conditions that can shorten lives, but it doesn’t have to be this way.”

n Volunteers should call Lauren Mallinson at BHF, on 07714069126 or at mallinsonl@bhf.org.uk.
