A young amputee has raised money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital by fulfilling a lifelong dream of skydiving.
Sixteen-year-old Danielle Bradshaw had her leg removed aged 11 after being diagnosed with developmental dysplasia – but has not let her condition stop her from fulfilling a lifelong dream of skydiving.
Darren Quigley, her stepfather, said: “It’s something she’s wanted to do since she was 11, but she couldn’t do it until she’d turned 16.
“She had always received great treatment from the hospital and wanted to give back to them for all their care and support.
“She’s always been fond of the staff and the level of care they gave her.
“Her mum and I are very proud of her.
“She really is an inspiration.”
