Stock needed for stalls at hospice’s fair

Have your say

CLEAR out your cupboards for the St Luke’s Hospice 40th anniversary Summer Fair.

One of the biggest events in the Sheffield hospice’s year of birthday celebrations is the annual Summer Fair, held in the grounds at Little Common Lane in Whirlow on the afternoon of Saturday, June 11.

Organisers have put out an appeal for items which will be sold on the selection of stalls.

“We’re particularly looking for good quality toys, accessories, jewellery, records, pictures, all kinds of bric-a-brac, bottles, plants and sealed and in-date toiletries,” said events manager Anna Sheppard.

“We raised a marvellous £12,000 last year but we are sure we can do even better in this special anniversary year,” said Anna.

“One thing we do need is more people to volunteer and help us to make sure the event is a huge success.”

Stock donations can be taken directly to the hospice or the collection of large numbers of items can be arranged. Call 0114 235 7562 for further details, or to volunteer to get involved.
