South Yorkshire war hero Ben Parkinson has begun a new treatment on his injuries.

Lance Bombardier Parkinson, who was the British Army’s most injured survivor of the Afghanistan conflict, is receiving hyper-baric oxygen therapy in Edinburgh.

He said: “The treatment takes place in a huge metal cylinder which is just like an empty submarine.”

Ben is pictured with a Royal Marine also being treated.
