Singers’ boost for hospice

MEMBERS of a Doncaster choir hit the right note to help patients at St John’s Hospice, in Balby.

Tickhill and District Male Voice Choir raised £300 for the hospice by singing at a number of events across the borough.

Chris Buley, chairman of the choir, said: “We decided to choose St John’s Hospice as our charity of the year and raised money by singing at Tesco in Balby, Tickhill Garden Centre and at our Christmas concert.”

Alison Constantine, voluntary services manager at St John’s Hospice, said: “We are delighted and very grateful.”
