GOLDEN girl Jessica Ennis looks stunning in silver as she poses for a glamorous photoshoot.

The 26-year-old Sheffield heptathlete - one of Britain’s top gold medal hopes at the London 2012 Olympics - got glammed up for the shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine.

And, as well as appearing on the front cover of the latest issue, she also opened her heart about her body, her hopes and her wedding.

Jess, one of Team GB’s ‘poster girls’, urged women to love their body, whatever their shape.

She said: “On a scale of one to 10, I’d rate my body confidence as a good seven. Everyone has their hang-ups, but I see my body as a training tool and feel good about it. I’m pretty body confident and comfortable being naked.”

Jess has come a long way since growing up in Highfield and attending Sharrow Primary School and Dore’s King Ecgbert School.

The 2009 heptathlon world champion now carries the nation’s hopes on her shoulders going into London 2012 later this month.

Jess said: “The Olympics is massive in itself, but for it to be at home means it’s not just sports fans watching, it’s everyone.

“I understand what people expect from me - I think it’s normal for the public to be putting gold medals around your neck already because they want to see you do well. But I just try to keep things in perspective, stay focused on what I need to do, and not get carried away.”

And, despite the Olympics dominating the near future, Jess has big plans further ahead after boyfriend Andy Hill proposed on Christmas Eve 2010.

She said: “He’s so supportive. Some men would find it hard with all the travelling I do, and at weekends I train so I can’t go out drinking. But he’s been through this with me all the way, so he understands.

“I wasn’t expecting it when he proposed. I’m a bit of a control freak, and I felt sure I’d have known about it when the time came.

“Now I’ve got all my bridal magazines stacked up at home and I’ve got a wedding planning folder - that was the first thing I bought.

“I’ve got loads of ideas, although it’s hard to bring them all together.

“Dad is definitely going to cry. It’s going to be such a proud moment for him. He loves Andy to bits so it will be really special.”
