A Sheffield pharmacy is the first in the country to be given the highest rating possible under a new inspection regime.
Wicker Pharmacy was judged as ‘excellent’ by the General Pharmaceutical Council, the national regulator which introduced more in-depth tests last year.
Managing director Martin Bennett said he was ‘really proud’ with the rating.
“The public appreciate the exceptional service that we provide,” he added.
Under the new regime pharmacies are assessed as either poor, satisfactory, good or excellent.
