A MIDWIFE has been hailed a hero for helping mums have healthy pregnancies.
Kate Campbell, aged 37, who works for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and runs antenatal pilates and aerobics classes for mums in Sheffield, was honoured by baby charity Tommy’s.
The mum-of-two, of Fulwood, said: “It was fantastic to be nominated, but to win was overwhelming. To be called a hero is strange when I love what I do.”
The ‘Hero’ award recognises a midwife who has helped pregnant women by developing an initiative to promote the best health choices during pregnancy.
