A Sheffield law firm has opened the next wave of applications for funding to support health groups and research bodies dedicated to improving the treatment of illnesses and injuries which affect its clients.
Slater and Gordon’s Health Projects and Research Fund will focus on teams at the forefront of caring for people with asbestos related illnesses, occupation caused cancers or significant disability caused by brain or spinal injury.
The Sheffield based law firm has committed to grant £500,000 to projects by 2020.
Not for profit and charitable health, rehabilitation, allied health, and research bodies are all eligible for grants and have until July 17 to submit their applications.
Slater and Gordon’s Group Managing Director Andrew Grech said: “We’ve already seen eight outstanding projects benefit from this fund and we want to support even more initiatives.
“As a firm we are committed to improving the lives of our clients and the health and research projects that receive grants from the fund will be those that have potential to make a tangible difference to peoples’ lives.”
