A doctor hopes to run into the record books again on Sunday when he takes part in his 68th marathon.
Subhashis Basu is hoping to become a Guinness World Record holder for the fastest marathon dressed in a cricket uniform, when he competes in the London Marathon.
The 33-year-old, of Stannington View Road, Crookes, ran into the record books at last year’s event for the quickest marathon dressed as an astronaut.
Subhashis, a doctor at the Northern General Hospital, aims to beat the current record of four hours, 16 minutes and 21 seconds, while raising money for the Dyslexia Research Trust.
He has raised around £150,000 for charities through events he has organised and during his quest to complete 100 marathons before he is 35.
