A service which helps people with drink problems in Sheffield has moved to a new location as part of a shake-up of support for addicts in the city.
Earlier this year Sheffield Health and Social Care was chosen by Sheffield Council to manage two new ‘streamlined’ services – one for users of opiates, such as heroin and painkillers, and the other for users of non-opiate drugs, including cannabis – which are now up and running.
The opiates service is based at the Fitzwilliam Centre in the city centre, and the non-opiates facility operates from Sidney Street, also in the centre of Sheffield.
Alcohol support has moved from the Fitzwilliam Centre to the Sidney Street building.
