A HORSE-riding charity in South Yorkshire which runs lessons for disabled people is appealing for help after hitting funding difficulties.
The Riding for the Disabled Association, based off Pontefract Road in Barnsley, is struggling to find money because of the increasing cost of feeding its 10 horses.
The charity is on old pit stacks of Barnsley Main Colliery, meaning growing grass is difficult and horses need to be given feed in summer and winter.
Keeping the animals now costs £90 per horse each week.
