Sheffield’s Jerome Wilson - out of a coma following head injuries sustained in a boxing match - has made an emotional video appearance on Facebook.
The Arbourthorne light welter, sat upright in a hospital chair, said: “This is a quick message from myself to say thank you for the support you have given me and my family.
“It means a lot, I am surprised, I am so shocked but it is helping me stay stronger each day knowing that people are wishing the best for me and my family. It means so much. I feel it in my heart. Thank you.”
Wilson was injured after being KO’d by city-based fighter Serge Ambomo.
