PEOPLE in South Yorkshire are being urged to help save lives this Christmas by giving blood.
NHS Blood and Transplant is appealing for new donors to help those who will be spending the Christmas period battling illness.
Lead donor relations manager Holly Mason said: “We appreciate people are often very busy shopping for presents and planning get togethers at this time of yea, but blood is needed just as much as ever in December.”
“We are appealing for people to show warm hearts by taking just a little time out to give blood this Christmas.”
NHSBT has reported a sharp fall in the number of young people signing up.
