The healing hands of Sheffield physiotherapist Michael Lee have led to him being nominated for a national award.

Mr Lee, who works for MiTo Therapy, based in Millhouses, has been nominated as the personal trainer of the year at the 2013 National Fitness Awards.

Among those treated by Mr Lee has been Roy Wilkins, now 67, who had lived with constant pain for half a century.

Mr Wilkins was living with a painful twisted spine caused by a farming accident in 1964 when he was thrown from a tractor.

He was also diagnosed with Syringomyelia - a cyst in the spinal cord.

But after treatment by Mr Lee, Roy said: “Most of the discomfort has gone.”
