A POSTER display and a wordsearch competition helped to start discussions about patient safety for Barnsley-based health staff.
The workers from South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust participated in events to mark National Patient Safety Week.
The trust’s staff at Mount Vernon Hospital in Barnsley organised a poster display to help raise awareness of patient safety and celebrate good practice. They also organised a wordsearch competition which highlighted key issues about patient safety.
Carol Nayeri, assistant modern matron at Mount Vernon, said: “Patient safety is of paramount importance at all times but this national week helped by raising awareness and getting our staff talking about how their own roles help to keep patients safe.”
