Car park company NCP has installed St Luke’s big blue clothing banks at its sites in Sheffield – making it easier to drop off donations to the hospice’s charity shops.
The clothing banks can be found at NCP car parks on Arundel Gate, Furnival Gate, Wellington Street, Hartshead Square and Blonk Street
“So often people load items for donation into the boot and then forget about them, and drive around for weeks without doing anything about it,” said NCP spokesman Adam Richards.
“Thanks to these units that won’t be a problem any longer – people will be able to drop off unwanted items every time they park.”
NCP is also displaying St Luke’s advertising material across its city car parks and providing furniture storage space at its Arundel Gate site.
“This is a great partnership for St Luke’s,” said the hospice’s Darren Sterling.
“People can always drop off donations at any of our 10 shops during normal opening hours, but thanks to NCP we now have an equally easy and convenient way to support Sheffield’s only hospice.”
