A Sheffield teenager who plans to plummet thousands of feet in a skydive to remember her best friend has set a date for the daring leap.
Paige Salt, aged 18, from Lodge Moor, will be jumping from a plane at Brigg in Lincolnshire on September 8 at 8am.
The former Sheffield City College student, who is currently volunteering in a charity shop, is organising the event in memory of 18-year-old Kyle Hancock.
Kyle, a sports-mad Owls fan from Bradwell in the Peak District, died of sudden arrythmic death syndrome - known as SADs - in his university halls of residence in Surrey.
Proceeds from the skydive will go to Cardiac Risk In The Young. Visit http://tinyurl.com/p55up6x to sponsor or log on to www.c-r-y.org.uk for information.
