Health staff in South Yorkshire including nurses, midwives and radiographers are staging a new strike.
Members of nine unions working in the NHS will walk out for four hours on November 24 as part of an ongoing pay dispute.
The announcement follows a strike on October 13, which was the first in the NHS over pay for 30 years.
The latest walkout will be followed for the rest of the week by action short of a strike, such as not working unpaid overtime.
Ministers in England have awarded NHS staff a one per cent pay rise, but only for around half of staff.
An independent pay review had said the one per cent increase should be across the board, but the Department of Health claimed doing this would put ‘frontline jobs’ at risk.
