A NEW support group for people affected by motor neurone disease has been started in Doncaster.
The South Yorkshire branch of the MND Association has set up the group for patients, carers and anyone affected by the degenerative, neurological condition.
The sessions will give people the chance to meet others affected by the disease to chat, share information and learn more about the support offered by the local branch.
The first meeting takes place on Thursday, May 5 from 2pm until 4pm at the Linney Centre, Weston Road, Doncaster.

A CHARITY ball in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust has been arranged to take place in Sheffield this autumn.
Lorraine Barnes, whose two sons live with the respiratory condition, has organised the event at Aston Hall on Saturday, October 29. She is currently on the hunt for sponsorship, raffle and auction prizes to help raise as much money as possible for the charity from the event.
