A CHARITY dedicated to helping people suffering from brain injuries and disease thanked health insurance company Westfield Health for its invaluable support over the years.
Neurocare, which raises money for the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, has received more than £68,000 from the Westfield Health Charitable Trust in just five years.
In 2009, Westfield donated £25,000 towards a new skull base endoscope – state-of-the-art equipment that has revolutionised complicated brain operations.
And more recently, in 2011, Westfield donated £22,750 to help the charity fund a pioneering sleep laboratory, which will help transform the lives of people from across the country who suffer from severe disorders such as sleep apnoea and insomnia.
Neurocare fundraiser Emma Douglas, said: “Neurocare works to ensure the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital is at the forefront of medical expertise.”
