BIG-HEARTED golfers showed their support for a South Yorkshire charity by teeing off in a night time game.
Playing with luminous balls and lit fairways, 10 teams took part in the unique Night Golf event at Beauchief Golf Course, which raised more than £700 for Help a Child Have a Chance.
The charity, which supports sick and disadvantaged children around South Yorkshire and the North Midlands, was set up in memory of local broadcaster Dave Kilner, who died in September 2009.
It is now run by Dave’s wife Shirley, their two daughters Rebecca and Nicola, along with trustees Martina Bradshaw and Eamonn Hunt.
The competition was won by a team from Sheffield United, which included club captain Chris Morgan, a new patron of the charity.
