leading medical professionals working in neurological critical care came together for a conference in Sheffield.
The event was organised on behalf of the Neurocritical Care Network - created five years ago to provide a network of communication between the neurosurgical intensive care units across the UK.
The educational symposium in Sheffield was the second of its kind to take place in the country and attracted 180 delegates from all areas of care including physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, surgeons, speech therapists and pharmacists.
Organiser Dr John Andrzejowski, consultant in neurointensive care and neuroanaesthesia at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust, said: “This was the largest neurocritical care meeting in the Uk to date. Overall the event was a huge success.”
