A GROUP of golfers from Doncaster are proving that keeping fit keeps you young at heart.

The Crookhill Park Seniors who all play their golf at Crookhill Park Golf Course, have members aged 55 to 79 who stay healthy by playing up to four times a week.

Fred Wood, 66, from Warmsworth, said: “Keeping fit has always been important to me and since I retired I wanted to take up a sport which allowed me to maintain my fitness levels.

“We hold a seniors competition every Thursday, which is always competitive yet fun. All the members have become great friends of mine and we thoroughly enjoy playing together.”
