Trust backs youngster

A TRUST aimed at making the wishes of terminally-ill people come true has offered support to a brave little girl struck down by a rare condition.

Seven-year-old Abigail Cook was diagnosed with Batten Disease, which means she experiences seizures and will lose her sight and mobility.

Abigail has compiled a wish list of things she would like to do in her lifetime and swimming with dolphins is her ultimate dream.

To help raise the £7,000 needed for a family trip to Orlando, the Warmsworth youngster has been boosted by the backing of The Eve Merton Dreams Trust, which has made a sizeable donation to Abigail’s appeal.

The trust is also holding a coffee morning fundraiser at Cusworth Hall Museum on Friday, November 30, from 11am to 2pm.
