Smoking plans are criticised

Plans to ban menthol cigarettes, require anti-smoking warnings to cover 75 per cent of packets, and allow the removal of branding have been criticised by MEP Godfrey Bloom.

UKIP politician Mr Bloom, who represents South Yorkshire, said: “Removing brand imagery leads consumers to towards cheaper alternatives and consumption could rise.”
