Sheffield Hallam University team’s cash to cut animal testing

Almost £250,000 has been given to scientists at Sheffield Hallam University to create a new technique reducing the need for animal testing in research projects.

The team has been awarded the cash to develop Mass Spectrometry Imaging technology, which analyses protein found in body tissue. Conventional methods would require tests on around 25 mice.
