New salon for cancer charity

the Aurora cancer charity, which runs three hospital-based beauty centres for patients, plans to open a town centre salon to raise thousands of pounds.

All the profits raised would be used to provide therapy for those with the disease, it said. Founder Lynne Rothwell said the idea stemmed from difficulties fundraising.

The charity opened a shop on Scot Lane last year and is converting the basement.
