A TWO million pound education centre has been unveiled at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

The centre will enable junior clinicians and students to watch live footage of keyhole surgery operations taking place at the DRI’s theatre unit as part of training from a 140-seater tiered lecture theatre.

Dr Joanne Sayer, director of postgraduate medical education at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The new centre marks an exciting opportunity for the trust to improve support for education and training of all staff groups.”
