Leisure workers ditch the razors

MALE staff at Doncaster’s leisure centres are ditching their razors for a month - and growing moustaches in support of Movember.

A total of 35 Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust workers are joining the fundraising event which aims to raise cash and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

For the entire month of Movember every DCLT employee who has signed up to the event will grow a moustache to support the cause.

They all started the month of November clean shaven, leaving razors and clippers alone until December 1.

They are hoping to raise £500 between them.

Spokesman Carl Lewis said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in Movember and to have so many staff joining in is fantastic.”
